Vienna is to receive a new multifunctional arena for up to 20,000 people in the Neu Marx district, which will host concerts, shows, sporting events and entertainment at an international level.

Wien Holding GmbH is responsible for the planning, construction and operation of the “Wien Holding Arena” (WH Arena for short), while ARGE ZFG Altherm Engineering and OFFICEMEDIA visuelle medientechnik gmbh from Vienna would take over the digital concept and technical planning. The focus is on innovative solutions for audio, stage and streaming technology, as well as state-of-the-art IT and network infrastructures.

As the centerpiece of Vienna’s Smart City Wien 2050 and Digitale Agenda Wien 2025 future strategies, the arena is set to set standards in technical, digital and ecological terms.
